How To Add Backlinks – Automated Link Development For SEO
If you want to know how to add backlinks in a heavy enough density to get a real boost in the search engine ranks, you’re going to have to do some automated link development. Why do I say that? Because if you check Google Adwords Keywords Tool, it will tell you that there are 135,000 searches per month for the word “backlinking.”
That means there are 135,000 every month trying to learn how to create backlinks to their website. If you want to stay ahead of the game (your competition), you need to be building backlinks regularly.
Link development must include many types of links...
Of course, that doesn’t mean you should be indiscriminate about who you link to, what method you use to build links and how you use your link development tool. Google, like a well-balanced society, appreciates diversity.
In other words, you can’t rely on one kind of backlink. Google expects a well-designed backlinks campaign to contain a mix of different kinds of links from different kinds of websites. Here are a few examples of the kinds of link development I like to “mix-up” for my clients:
- Website and product reviews
- Articles posted on article directories
- Guest blog posts on related content blogs
- Comments on other people’s related subject blogs
- Guest content on my client’s blog
- Free directory listings
- Free classified ads listings
- Social bookmarking
All of the above can be automated to a certain extent and there are software programs and online services that can help you. I’m going to tell you about some of them.
By the way, there are some must-have links you can’t automate such as Google Places and Yahoo Local and Bing Local. There are also some high quality directories your clients should be in that have to be paid for such as JoeAnt ($39.99), Best of the Web ($199.95), GoGuides ($69.95) and Rubber Stamped ($39.95).
How to add backlinks - automated link creator tools
None of the following link creator services or software are free. But I own or subscribe to all of them because the return I get for clients (and my own Internet Marketing sites) far outweighs the cost. Rather than turn this into a 15 page article, each link takes you to a review I wrote of the software or service. That way you can just read about the link creators that interest you.
- Free Classified Submission Tool – Automatic submission of your website to thousands of free classified ad sites
- Directory Submitter Review – Automatic submission of your website to thousands of directories.
- Paid Reviews or Paid Posts – People with blogs bid on writing reviews or blog posts for you. Generally, you’ll pay anywhere from $5 for a website review on a PR 0 blog to $20 for a website review on a PR 3 blog. Hard to beat a measly $20 for a quality backlink from a PR 3 blog.
- Blog Comment Tool – Searches the Internet and finds blogs using your keyword that you can comment on. Also chooses blogs based on PageRank and ability to comment. Big time saver.
- New SEO Tool – Nifty tool searches for blogs, forums, answer sites and more for you to comment on or post your information on. Better than the blog comment tool but this one is a monthly subscription while the blog comment tool is owned software.
- Raven SEO Tools review – Full blown SEO tool for keyword research, organic SEO and linkbuilding with client report generating ability and 17 tools – amazing!
- SEO Free Software WebCEO 8.0 review – Much older SEO tool that comes free for the basic package. However, if you only want to SEO your own site and aren’t interested in doing SEO professionally, the free package is probably enough. Comes with excellent training manual.
- IBP 11.5 SEO Software Review – The granddaddy of SEO software. But don’t scoff. They offer a money-back guarantee if you don’t get first page of Google. I haven’t seen any SEO software offer that.
- Link Building Software Comparo – A comparison of Linkvana and TextLinks. Expensive monthly subscription link creator tools. After you read the review, you’ll understand why I subscribe to them both. Serious blog, article and link development marketing.
- Best Article Spinner Review – If you’re familiar with article spinners (they “spin” one article into hundreds of unique articles), you know how important they are for article marketing. I’ve owned five or six of the things and I got rid of them all after I found this one.
- SEO Linkvine Review – If you want to talk about how to add backlinks, this is one very impressive link development tool for getting hundreds of guest blog posts on other people’s blogs. You submit your “spun” article and other members with blogs can upload your article to their blog. And if you need content for your blog, you can do the same thing with other member’s blog posts they submit. Everyone wins.
- Social Bookmark Link Creator – I love this backlinks tool! You submit pages you want other people to social bookmark for you and…they do! It even has a built in spinner to create unique bookmarks. I get over 500 bookmarks for every page I submit. Killer results! Wait until you read the review…
- Website Submission Software Review – This link development tool is strictly for getting a fast blast of traffic to a brand new website. Great for website designers who want to impress their client and offer a bit of quick SEO to get them started. Always leave ‘em smilin’.
Remember, Keep your links as mixed up as you can. Don't rely on just article marketing or just blog commenting. Also, don't just use the same keyword phrase as anchor text for all your links. Have a mix of four related keyword phrases you use for each page of your website.
And lastly, don't just link to your home page. The last ratio I read was one link to another page of your site for every four links to your home page. And remember, use a different set of four keyword phrases for each page of your site.
Link regularly; link often. Good luck!
