Our next meeting of the Twin Cities Web Professionals will take place on Tuesday, March 21st at 10:00 am - 12:00 noon. Remember our new location! We are now meeting at St. Thomas Campus, 2115 Summit Ave, St. Paul, Room 155 of the Murray Herrick Campus Center. Here is a campus map (our building is #5 on the map): http://www.stthomas.edu/campusmaps/stpaul/stpaul2D.pdf Parking is available at the Morrison Hall Parking Ramp. It's a short walk over to the Murray Herrick Campus Center from the ramp. Allow an additional 15 minutes or so for parking. Justin Lee and Craig Arko will be presenting "Podcasting and RSS Feeds" and their presentation will include: What is RSS/Syndication? Writing XML... Automating the process... Aggregators... Creating content... Who owns the rights... Compression/Codecs... Marketing your feed... Justin will also talk about the production and promotion aspects of the podcasts themselves and Craig will speak about the XML and RSS programming aspects necessary for doing the subscriptions, and a few tools for automating that process. We anticipate this to be a lively, interesting discussion so be sure to join us to share and learn from your fellow professionals. Reminder: Lunch together afterwards in the cafeteria would be a great way to continue the discussion and have some time to socialize! Please RSVP to loriann@j4webservices.com so we can plan accordingly. Feel free to invite other professionals in the web development industry. The more the merrier!
